From Athens' Airport

VIA RAFINA

You can get from Athens Airpor,t "Eleftherios Venizelos", to the port of Rafina by bus (KTEL) or by car.

1. Just outside the Arrivals Exit gate is the terminal station of the KTEL BUSES that perform regular trips from the airport to Rafina. It takes about 30 min to get to your destination.

The bus time schedule from 09/09/2015 to 31/05/2016, is the following:

04:40  05:35  06:10  07:05   08:50   10:30  12:20   13:20  14:10  15:20   16:30  18:00  19:20   20:45  22:20.

2. IF YOU ARE DRIVING, leave the airport and follow the signs directing you to Athens and Elefsina. About 10 min later take the exit 15 to Marathonos Avenue.
Go through Pallini and Pikermi and when you arrive at the Rafina junction turn right.

There is a coastal line that connects Rafina to South Evia. There are daily passenger-car ferries that run throughout the year between Rafina and Marmari port in South Evia. The trip takes 60 min.

The distance between Marmari and Karystos is 11 km and it is a 15 min drive. There is a regular bus service (KTEL) connection to most ferries from the port of Marmari to Karystos.

The Karystion Hotel is situated on the east side of the town, on the main coastal road of Karystos (you enter the town on the west side).

VIA CHALKIDA

IF YOU ARE DRIVING, leave the airport and follow the signs directing you to Athens and Elefsina.

While on Attiki Odos, turn right at junction 8 and head north on the Athens-Lamia national road. Take the exit to Chalkida and Evia.

Cross over the suspension bridge and follow the signs to South Evia. After the town of Aliveri you follow the signs to Karystos. The total drive takes about 2.5 to 3 hours (depending on road traffic).

The Karystion Hotel is situated on the east side of the town on the main coastal road of Karystos (you enter the town on the west side).

VIA AGIA MARINA

The best way to get from the ‘Eleftherios Venizelos' airport to Agia Marina in Marathonas is by car.

There is of course an alternative solution. You take a taxi to the first KTEL bus station (on the route that connects Athens to Agia Marina port), in Pallini. From there you take the KTEL bus to Agia Marina. The ferry will take you to the port of Styra, on Evia. When you arrive there you will have to hire a taxi or wait for the next KTEL bus.

IF YOU ARE DRIVING from the airport, get on the Attiki Odos Motorway and follow the signs directing you to Athens and Elefsina. Some 10 min later take the exit 15 to Marathonos Avenue. Go through Pallini and Pikermi. When you arrive at the Rafina junction continue straight on through Nea Makri and just before Marathonas turn right to Schinias and Kato Souli. Follow the signs that lead to the port of Agia Marina.

The distance between Styra and Karystos is 33 km and it is a 30 min drive. The Karystion Hotel is situated on the east side of the town on the main coastal road of Karystos (you enter the town on the west side).
